I got the opportunity to come to a Japanese Ryokan at Kaike Onsen

take a look not just at the room but to focus on the bath and

Because all the guests are oh here's camera outside

Because all the guests can't come in

because they're going to be cleaning it in a minute

I have an opportunity for the next ten minutes to bring you Kaike Onsen wchich is super cool

It's not it's sort of rare t be able to have up the option to come here in film

So I thought that this would be a great chance to go live unscripted

You can see this is the actually this is the women's bath

So I's not supposed to be in here but

The manager says it's OK as long as I'm really quick so

I took the thumbnail in this bath here which is super cool

It's this barrel made of cedar wood and

All of this water is super natural

You not sound like the water coming

that's why I love Japanese Onsen now

I don't have the DJI Ozmo so the video might be a little shaky

My apologies for that I don't have a lot of time either because

The manager's waiting for he's like yeah

You can do a live feed but just do it real quicklly just cool um

This is where you take a shower normally

usually before you get into take a bath go wash off in the shower here

You don't have to shampoo it first

I usually did the shampoo and the soap after I've been in the bath because

The bath I don't know it's got a lot of minerals in it

I don't like to sleep with the minerals on it so I use the shampoo and soap after but

Before I go into the bath I'll either wash off or I'll shower here

And these are really nice

Everything is made real natural out of wood not prastick at all

And this is metal around and copper so

And the stools are clean usually I'd take the bucket of water and rinse off the stool

just to make sure you don't have anything left over from the last guy

what girl, because I said this is the women's Onsen

And you can see they're just cleaning right now

So I have to get out of the women's Onsen and apologize to them

This is also the indoor bath but you can go outdoor

It's stunning isn't that passionate Onsen

I told him I'll be really fast but this the men's bath I think sort of ralax a little bit

I don't personally I'm not I am fine with taking the women's bath you know

But I just a little shy about that

The way this is the men's bath

There's my camera stuff I'm going to film it

Here are the locker usually not usually but you'll change and leave your stuff here

It's really safe, no one's going to take anything

and they're cleaning right now, I won't show you the lounge

but after you take a bath there's a place where you can dry your hair

and get ready for the rest of the day, aha

The men's bath is just as stunning

The other path is a little bit better because you have a better view of the city but

Here is just I don't know does narrow view over there at sort of L shape so

You get a better view of the beach but

Today it's very cloudy day so you can't see the beach very well

And again the men's Onsen, bathroom has the same type of shower equipment but

Here's the bath it's different because it's men's that's the only different

sometimes you'll alternate meaning on Monday, Wendesday, Friday, this willl be women's

and that'll the men's and then Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, this will be he men's and that'll be the women's

Sometimes they do that

And that confuses some people one time I went in and there is a woman in there

But it said mens and she was confused and she was

will make a short story she was very embarrased

And I was sort of happy, maybe a little bit

And I had to see her at breakfast that she was really shy about that one

But what can you do,

this is a sauna

on my lord it's hot

The camera is going to steam up in here

Oh my gosh it's freaking hot in here so

At the Japanese Onsen you also have a sauna

It is hot as heck smells like Sweden

I guess I don't know my image of a saunas Finland and Sweden like Scandinavia but

You can come in here it's all part of the price

There's a themometer basically you could bake bread in here

See here Finland sauna I hate it from a fit finish a thermometer

And this light can probably which this is the same light that you can use in an oven probably but

I'm going to get out of here because if feels like India to me

Yeah my mom is from India

All right

It feels like Delhi in the middle of summer

Those sauna nothing new just sort of wanted to relax

This is super cool

I like this because you have a littel bit of privacy you can each one is special for an individual so

You can sit here invade and as you sitit you can look out until the beach

You're probably not going to be able to see the beach because today is very foggy day

Very foggy day!

I mean it's usually foggy because they told it hasn't been like this in three years

And the down here I'm sorry this way is huh

Ha, is that not nice, why? Usually there is like 20 naked guy in here but

I have it all to myself, I mean how lucky am I

First of all not to bathe the 20 naked guys but to have it all to myself

Because that's that just that simply doesn't happen very often on am so thankful

This is to this Onsen I'm going to put a link t this Ryokan and

If you come to Yonago or to take this sunrize Izumo train this way that

I introduced in the video definitely stay here because

All my lord the rooms with the view of the sea and the mountains is absolutely stunning

I highly recommend this place and

They didn't pay me to say this either this is a totally unscriped

Just so thankful for them to give me the opportunity to film in here which is extremely rare all right

So, basically

there you go the water temperature is pretty warm I have to wear towel or else

this video will be censored

you wear a towel because the raindrops sometimes fall from the condensation and because

You're not supposed to put the towel into the water and we're also going to put it you , put it on the head

The water is absolutely beautiful it's I don't know about 44 degrees Celsius, 43, 45 degrees Celsius which is I don't know

Warm but so nice

It's so nice

the water coming out it's really hot and when it gets down to hear it cools naturally to a normal temperature for about 45 degrees

I'm not sure what that is in Fahrenheit I can't do the math because

The manageer said try to keep this short

So they could come in and clean and I still have to film the normal epidodes of only in Japan in here so

I'm sorry I don't have the DJI OZmo to make this a smoth video

It's on a little stand which is nice but I'm so thankful again once moe for Ryokan to let me film in here

I hope you enjoyed this an inside look at what a Japanese Onsen bath looks like

When I say the world Onsen usualy even to the Japanese Onsen is the bath but it also refers to the whole area so

When I say Kaike Onsen I mean this place not just a bath that's sort of a misunderstanding some people have been making about Onsen

It really does mean the area even though Onsen is a bath

It means the area where altough Ryokan is and you can get more specifically said Ryokan but

If you come to Japan and I'm telling you this if you come to Japan for more than a week and you do not stay at Ryokan you are missing something super special because

There's no more Japanese like experience than staying in our Ryokan and spending time in a bath and a place like this because

You will leave so refreshed I cannot I emphasize this enougt stay in Ryokan

I don't care if it's a little bit more expensive than hotel or a lot more expensie the more you pay you're going to get your money's worth

You get usually two meals that are very very ex well prepared with local ingredients of that area

And I don't know for me every time I come to an Onsen it's a special treat

You're not allow to wear towel I only did that because YouTube would get angry if you saw my privates and yeah

I don't think I'd be happy about that either I think the trolls would have a field day

All right I don't think there's anything else to really introduce you to with an Onsen

Again after you finish usually there is the stools are up now

So they can clean but there's hair dryer down there

Amenities there's even like aftershave so you can shave

I've been on the road for a while so

This is absolutely luxury to me

I mean and this is the other thing with hitchhiking I'm camping you might think that I might it's a dirty thing but I'm always taking a bath every day because

There is an Onsen or Sento or public bath all over Japan

That's open to the public and you Japanaese people are so clean because there's always a bath even when you're camping or you're hitchhiking you're clean because

The heck would pick up a dirty smelly prison maybe that's why they're stopping I don't look as dirty is I should buy was anywhere else that'd probably be a filthy dirty

Blob of a man heret I'm OK

I even know able to do he laundry every few days so everthing's pretty clean even though I'm path living ou of a tent

So once again I hope that you like I'm running at a time but

Again I'm in your novel Yonago Kaike Onsen which is absokutely beautiful he view is usually of the ocean and the beach and Sea of Japan

But today it's very cloudy and I want to leave you iwth this view

That's the Sea of Japan and this is the bath that I was just in and before was the women's bath you're not allowed to go there so don't get your hope up
