Hey Guys, this is everyone's favorite frosting.

It's that frosting that goes so well with Red Velvet Cupcakes, Pumpkin bread, or even

Carrot Cake!

It's the cream cheese frosting and it's so easy to make.

Today I'm going to show you how so let's get started.

You're going to need 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, I left mine out at room temperature
-
for about an hour, 2 ounces of unsalted butter, room temperature, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract,
-
and about 2 cups of powered sugar, and a pinch of salt.

When I'm making frosting, I tend to like to use my paddle attachment more than the whisk
-
attachment just because I think that it beats it more smoothly and I get better results.

First, in your mixing bowl, add your cream cheese and butter and mix it on medium speed
-
until it's nice and fluffy.
-
You want to beat it for about two minutes for it to get this way.
-
Then add in your vanilla and continue beating it for about a minute.
-
Finally slowly add in your pinch of salt, and gradually add in your powdered sugar,
-
and continue beating it until everything's mixed together.
-
And there you have it, your tangy, sweet, delicious cream cheese frosting.
