- Paul very kindly made me a cape to go on top.
-
Not Paul, Daniel.
-
Do that again.
-
Who the fuck's Paul?
-
I don't even know.
-
[upbeat music]
-
Hi, Vogue.
-
I'm Emilia Clarke and I'd like you to accompany me
-
while I get ready for the Baftas, which is taking place in
-
two hours.
-
So things are popping off.
-
Come on in.
-
My enormous suite.
-
Ta-da.
-
So now we're just gonna get ready.
-
Put my face on, put my toes on.
-
And then put the dress on.
-
I am presenting an award, a very special award.
-
Very, very special award in fact, a special effects award.
-
Delightful, so I can't wait.
-
The night before I will have tried to be very good.
-
Drunk loads of water, got loads of sleep,
-
neither of those things happened last night.
-
We do a really good prep so your skins looking
-
nice and gorgeous, which you really really want
-
on a red carpet.
-
You wanna look fresh, and dewy, and glowy,
-
and all of these things.
-
We're sort of going for a 90s vibe, we're gonna do
-
like a smokey eye.
-
- [Lynsey] Sultry, gorgeous, sexy.
-
- Yes, exactly.
-
Think 90s supermodels, but me, not a supermodel.
-
So we'll see you later when I've got loads of makeup on
-
and I'm looking fabulous.
-
[upbeat music]
-
These very nice.
-
Where is it?
-
It's at the Royal Ava Hall.
-
It's at the Royal Ava Hall everybody.
-
Woo-hoo!
-
We're in this gorgeous hotel which is 10 minutes
-
from the venue, cause normally you're stuck
-
in a traffic jam for a very long time.
-
So that's very good.
-
I'm the kind of person who'll be hyperventilating
-
in a car from night.
-
'Cause with red carpet stuff, ain't nobody
-
waiting for you.
-
I've heard rumors of people who've turned up to events
-
late, there's no photos, it's like they were never there.
-
Your like, "Oh, shit, the entire reason we just spent
-
two and a half hours getting ready."
-
Nightmare.
-
This is the glorious Sam, everybody.
-
The legend.
-
Then we also have the gorgeous Lynsey Alexander.
-
This is a beautiful relationship that began
-
with Clinque didn't it?
-
Then I stole her. [laughing]
-
I said, "Please can you come with me all the time?"
-
I'm crap at doing my own hair and makeup.
-
- Thank god for that.
-
Thank god for that.
-
- Can you imagine is said, "Sam, I got it.
-
Don't worry babe, don't worry."
-
So this is the ultimate dream team.
-
Like I'll say it if these guys weren't here.
-
- She says that with everyone.
-
- I don't!
-
The love of my life.
-
The love in my life, Ted, Teddington the third,
-
is sadly not here.
-
He's being babysat by my mate.
-
At this point he's cute enough and young enough
-
for everyone to be kind of chomping at the bit
-
to take care of him, I don't think that will last.
-
When I'm like, "Lad's, I just want a night out
-
could you just.."
-
But he comes to the pub, he came to Chanel.
-
I went to go and see him and as soon as I walked into
-
the room he just came towards me.
-
They say that dogs pick you as much as you pick them,
-
and I literally cried.
-
And it was just like, yeah love.
-
Even when he poo's in my slippers.
-
- [Sam] Would you love me if I poo'd in your slippers?
-
- Yes I would, Sam.
-
But he's a little bruiser.
-
I think he might be a bit of a geezer,
-
do you know what I mean?
-
I think he might be like that.
-
- He's an East London.
-
- I think he's an East London dog, yeah that's right.
-
- Is that where he came from? - Ted.
-
Um no, he came from Kent.
-
[laughing]
-
- [Lynsey] He wants to be an East London doggy.
-
- Yeah exactly, exactly.
-
[upbeat music]
-
Right, Vogue.
-
I have the final look together, and now I'm gonna
-
put on my dress.
-
Would you like to come with me?
-
Note the stain glass window.
-
It's in my ryder.
-
Da-da-da!
-
Me and this little number are gonna have some alone time.
-
So I'm gonna ask you to step outta my space.
-
Careful.
-
There you go.
-
Mind yourself.
-
Okay, thank you everybody.
-
I'll be back in a, about an hour.
-
[upbeat music]
-
Ta-da!
-
She's ready.
-
I am wearing Schiaparelli.
-
It's just beautiful, the beading is insane.
-
This is couture ladies and gentlemen.
-
Because it's Bafta and it's freezing, Daniel made
-
me a little jacket to go over it.
-
So without
-
it looks like this.
-
It's very exciting.
-
And the other nice thing about this dress is that
-
I'm quite loud, anyway in life and also because
-
of these beads.
-
Crew, we're rolling out.
-
It's not the heaviest dress I've worn, I wore
-
a chain metal once, that was 50 pounds.
-
True story.
-
But I feel like I can do damage with these beads.
-
Thank you so much everybody, wish me luck.
-
Enjoy the show.
-
Goodbye.
